Inter are complete optimistic that midfielder Marcelo Brozovic will be back to full fitness in time for Saturday’s Serie A clash with Fiorentina.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Croat will return to training for a personalized session today, and could be back in full training by Thursday.

Brozovic missed out on Sunday’s Serie A draw against Torino, having felt that he would not be able to play with the calf strain which he had picked up during the Nerrazzurri’s Champions League round of sixteen second leg against Liverpool.

However, the 29-year-old identified the issue soon enough to prevent further damage, and he already looks to be on track to make a quick recovery.

The Gazzetta report that based on his current progress, the Nerazzurri are completely confident that the midfielder will be ready to make his return against La Viola over the weekend.
