Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is hoping to rely on midfielder Marcelo Brozovic from the start in Saturday’s Serie A clash with Fiorentina.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the coach is aiming to have the Croat fully fit for the vital Serie A match.

Brozovic trained individually yesterday, and the club are taking no risks with his fitness so he will do so today as well, and likely tomorrow as well.

However, the aim is to have the 29-year-old back in full training with the squad on Friday so that he will be ready and match-fit for Saturday’s match.

Meanwhile, Inzaghi is also seriously considering giving January singing Robin Gosens his first start for the team against La Viola, whilst the likes of Andrea Ranocchia and Danilo D’Ambrosio are in contention to start in defense with Stefan de Vrij still injured.
