Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi did not spare his team harsh words when he spoke to them in their last couple training sessions, as he hopes to motivate them to return to their best form.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the coach expressed his unhappiness with some of the sluggish recent performances and lack of clinical finishing in recent weeks, and stressed that there can be no more excuses.

Inter have taken just nine points from their past nine matches in the league, nowhere near the kind of form that they will need to show in the run-in if they want to win the Scudetto.

The coach is keenly aware of the need to return to the best version of themselves if they are to go on and win what looks like a Scudetto race that will go right down to the wire.

In front of the team directors, who fully support his line, Inzaghi expressed to the squad that certain aspects of recent performances haven’t been good at, in the hopes of jolting them back to form and confidence.
