Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is set to return to training either tomorrow or on Friday with a view to being available for Saturday’s Serie A clash with Fiorentina.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Croat has been training individually yesterday and today, but that it is hoped that he will be back with the full squad within the next couple days.

Brozovic has been recovering from a calf injury which he picked up during the Nerazzurri’s Champions League round of sixteen second leg against Liverpool, and which caused him to miss Sunday’s Serie A draw away to Torino.

However, the 29-year-old is expected to be back in action in time to start his team’s Serie A clash with Fiorentina next weekend.

The club are not taking any chances with the midfielder’s fitness, as there have not been any relapses of the problem, and they will not rush him back, but they expect him to be back in training by Friday.
