Inter are set to appeal the decision to have their Serie A clash with Bologna from January 6 earlier this year cancelled and awarded as a 3-0 win rather than postponed to another date.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that there is no chance of the fixture being played prior to April 27 due to the appeals process dragging on.

The Nerazzurri travelled to Bologna and took the pitch for the scheduled kickoff of their Serie A clash, but the Rossoblu’s team was unable to show up due to an order from the regional health authority of Emilia-Romagna, based on the number of COVID cases in their squad.

Inter have decided to appeal the decision from last month to have the match postponed rather than cancelled outright, in the hopes that they can have the result awarded as a win rather than have to play it at a later time.
