Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi has emphasized clinical finishing in front of goal and defensive concentration as the main themes for his team in the decisive final months of the campaign.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who report that the coach stressed tightening up at both ends of the pitch heading into the run-in of the season in his speech in training yesterday.

Inter are locked in a Serie A title race which looks as tight as ever, four points behind city rivals AC Milan and one behind Napoli, but with a game in hand on each.

The Nerazzurri will know that every match out of their remaining ten in the competition has the potential to be decisive, and that they cannot afford to be in the kind of form that they’ve been in since the beginning of February.

Accordingly, Inzaghi identified a lack of cutting edge in front of goal and lapses in defensive concentration as being at the heart of the team’s issues, and stressed putting them behind them with more time to prepare between matches.
