Andrea Ranocchia and Danilo D’Ambrosio will likely not know their futures until the end of the season, according to a report in the Italian media today.
merAs has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, much like last summer, the two Italian defenders are out of contract in June.
Due to their happiness to stay and a lack of interest in them, they ended up signing a one year deal with the club to stay for another season and be squad players.
That is effectively the situation again this season. They are out of contract in June and may well be offered a one-year extension should they want to stay and fill in when the coach needs them throughout the campaign.
Whilst they are far from key players, having people in the squad that will put in a solid performance when they are needed and do not take up too much space in the wage budget can be very useful.
