Former Inter striker Rey Manaj has said that when he joined Inter it was like a dream had come true for him, according to a report in the Italian print media.

Speaking during an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Spezia forward explained how he had always supported the Nerazzurri and had enjoyed seeing Inter win the treble under Jose Mourinho in 2010.

“I then went to Inter, a dream for me given that I had always supported the Nerazzurri and enjoyed the treble in 2010.”

The Albanian forward was a very young player when he joined Inter and he did not manage to make too much of an impression. He feels that he was not ready both physically and mentally when he joined the club from Cremonese in 2015.

“Probably when I arrived at Inter I was not yet ready physically and mentally. I still have many friends there, I often hear from Perisic and Brozovic.”

Rey Manaj only made four appearances at Inter and never scored a competitive goal for the club. He had loan spells at Pescara, Pisa, and Granada before joining Albacete permanently in 2018.

He then joined Barcelona B and is now on a loan spell from Barcelona at Spezia.
