Former Napoli, Udinese, and Queens Park Rangers coach Luigi De Canio believes that Inter will head into this weekend’s Serie A clash with Fiorentina with a highly determined attitude.

Speaking to Italian news outlet FirenzeViola.it, the coach suggested that the Nerazzurri will have a refreshed attitude and an intensity as they aim to get back to winning ways against La Viola.

Inter have endured some of their worst form of the entire campaign over the past few weeks, winning just two of their last eight matches in Serie A to find themselves chasing in the title race.

There is no more room for error, but the team can also enjoy the luxury of a week to prepare for Saturday’s clash with Fiorentina at the San Siro, something which they have not had in some time.

De Canio anticipates that the Nerazzurri will face Fiorentina with renewed hunger and desire, and that this could make the difference.

“The Nerazzurri will be determined,” he predicted of the match, “they’re still potentially second in the standings. For the investments they made, they should hit at least one goal between the league and the Coppa Italia, there will be a renewed mental and technical and tactical aspect.”
