Fiorentina striker Krzysztof Piatek has said that Inter are a great team and revealed that Ronaldo was his idol growing up, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking to the Tuscan club’s official media channels, via FCInter1908, the Polish striker revealed some of his thoughts about the game against Inter on Saturday night.

He clearly has a lot of praise and admiration for Inter, saying: “I want to help the team. They are the Italian champions, but I am very focused and I want to score. Inter are a great team.”

He also talked about how the game is at San Siro where he wants to score for Fiorentina and labelled Ronaldo as his idol, the former Inter and Brazil striker.

“We play at San Siro and I want to do well, I want to score and win. My idol as a child? Ronaldo, El Phenomenon.”

Krzysztof Piatek has played at San Siro before during his time at both Genoa and AC Milan. He would love to score against Inter in their own stadium on Saturday evening.

The game represents a chance for Fiorentina to get closer to the Europa League next season.
