Inter are still convinced that they have secured a top player in Andre Onana despite recent scrutiny of the goalkeeper, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, the recent error that the Cameroonian goalkeeper made in the Champions League against Ajax has led many to question if Inter’s new signing is not as good as they first thought.

Despite this, Inter are still convinced that they have signed a top player who can be their number one goalkeeper for many years.

The club are still likely to renew the contract of Samir Handanovic so that Andre Onana can learn from the Slovenian during his first season at the club.

It is not clear which goalkeeper would be the number one choice yet. The two may well share the role and whoever shows they are in the best form, will become the number one.
