Inter want every player in the squad to feel like they are fighting for their place in the team rather than it being guaranteed to them, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport earlier today, only 11 players in the Inter squad are seen as being sure of their place at the club for the next season.

There are two main reasons that Inter want to operate in this way. One reason is that they want almost every player at the club to feel they are under constant examination and must not let their standards drop.

The other reason is that Inter are a club that will appeal to others who want to sign some top European players.

Many people at Inter are being chased by more wealthy teams and by keeping the standards high, Inter either get a better player or a bigger transfer fee.
