Inter are keen to put the stress of the recent fixture reschedule behind them and find a rhythm for the rest of the campaign, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, it is clear that the congested fixture list and the pressures of poor form has had their toll on the Inter camp in recent weeks and months.

The barbecue that took place on Wednesday at Appiano Gentile is an example of how the club are looking to calm things down around the squad and restore some of the harmony that may have been lost recently.

Inter have been playing a lot of games close together and it has seen events such as Simone Inzaghi and Alessandro Bastoni getting red cards against AC Milan, Alexis Sanchez’s red card against Liverpool, and Nicolo Barella’s clear annoyance on the pitch.

With the Champions League out the way, a more manageable fixture list will be in place.
