Inter boss Simone Inzaghi and his coaching staff may wait until Saturday morning before deciding if Marcelo Brozovic can face Fiorentina or not, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported today by Tuttosport, the coaching staff do not want to take too much of a risk with the Croatian’s calf injury that he picked up against Liverpool last week in the Champions League.

He had to sit out the match against Torino last weekend and it was clear that his absence had a big impact on the Inter performance.

Whilst the coach would love to have him fit to face Fiorentina on Saturday, there is a risk of aggravating the injury further and impacting the season more greatly.

He is expected to train with his teammates in the run-up to the game but will be monitored very closely. A last moment decision is the likely outcome.
