AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori has said that Inter are an excellent team but he wants to have something to celebrate at the end of the season, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, the English defender explained that Inter are an excellent team but said he thinks all the teams at the top of the Serie A table are at the same level right now.

“Inter are an excellent team, Napoli have quality. I also like Juventus and Roma. I don’t think there is one that’s better than the others.

“If anything, each one has strengths and weaknesses. Like us, we have characteristics that can allow us to win against anyone. In the end, the ranking will tell who has been the best: today it rewards us and our strengths.”

AC Milan currently sit at the top of the Serie A table and they have a three-point lead over Napoli and a four-point lead over Inter who have a game in hand.

They will take on Cagliari this weekend and will hope to extend their lead at the top. They are also in the Coppa Italia semi-final where the second leg against Inter awaits.

Fikayo Tomori says that he wants to have something to celebrate at the end of the season: “We have had some excellent results and we don’t want to stop. We have to continue on this path and the way we approach the matches is giving results. We hope to have something to celebrate at the end of the season.”
