Ex-Inter Goalkeeper Sebastien Frey: “Inter-Fiorentina Is A Special Match For Me, I Will Always Be Grateful To The Club”

Former Inter and Fiorentina goalkeeper Sebastien Frey has said that matches between the two sides are always very special to him, according to a report in the Italian print media.
Speaking during an interview with the Inter matchday programme ahead of Saturday evening’s match, via FCInternews, the former goalkeeper explained that he will always be grateful to Inter for the chance the club gave him.
“For me it’s always a special match, it was my first game as a starter with the Nerazzurri shirt. It was 3 April 1999, Inter’s 2-0 victory. Inter was my first great love, the team who believed in me, I will always be grateful to this club.”
“I always watch it with great pleasure, I like to see these two teams on the pitch because they remind me of the wonderful emotions.”
Sebastien Frey joined Inter from French side Cannes in 1998 and he then made 35 appearances for Inter until his permanent departure from the club in 2001. During his time at Inter he had a loan spell at Hellas Verona.
He left Inter for Parma who he made 132 appearances for. His final year under contract at Parma was spent on loan Fiorentina who he then joined permanently and made 157 appearances for until 2011.
He finished off his career with 74 games at Genoa and 27 at Bursaspor before retiring in 2015.
