Inter have taken home almost €67 million from their participation in the Champions League this season, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by football finance experts Calcio e Finanza, the market pool figures for Italian teams were finalised once Juventus were knocked out by Villareal earlier this week.

For TV money and the number of games played, Inter will receive €13.7 million. That is added to the €15.6 million for being in the tournament, €15.9 million for their historical ranking, 12.1 for the results that they had in the tournament, and a further €9.6 million for making it to the Round of 16.

That means that overall Inter will earn €66.9 million from their time in the Champions League. These figures make it clear why club executives are always so desperate to make sure their team gets into the Champions League each season.

Inter are on track to qualify again for the next campaign.
