It will take a miracle for Marcelo Brozovic to start the game against Fiorentina on Saturday evening, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported today by Corriere dello Sport, the Croatian midfielder is still feeling pain in his right calf despite many hopes that he would’ve recovered from the injury picked up against Liverpool last week.

He will continue to be monitored in training today and a final decision will be made on Saturday morning.

Simone Inzaghi must decide who he wants to play in the centre of the midfield trio against La Viola. Arturo Vidal is the player most likely to come into the team, but he may not play in the middle.

The coach may put Hakan Calhanoglu in the centre to dictate the tempo of the game and have Nicolo Barella and Arturo Vidal playing either side of him on Saturday.
