Juventus and Inter could lock horns over Empoli duo Mattia Viti and Kristjan Asllani during the summer transfer window, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, the two Italian giants appear to be targeting the same profile of players as they gear up for the summer transfer window.

That profile is young players already playing in Italy. Mattia Viti is a very talented centre back and he has made 16 appearances for Aurelio Andreazzoli’s side this season.

Kristjan Asllani is an Albanian midfielder and he has made 14 Serie A appearances this season. The top clubs have noticed the impressive performances of the two players as well as many others at Empoli this season.

It is thought that Juventus are more interested in the midfielder Kristjan Asllani because they have already invested in Federico Gatti who they loaned back to Frosinone in the January window.
