Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic will not be in the squad to face Fiorentina and he has already left the training ground, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media tonight.

As has been reported by Sky Sport in Italy, via FCInternews, the Croatian midfielder left the retreat at Appiano Gentile because his injury is too severe to be included in the matchday squad against Fiorentina tomorrow.

He picked up the injury against Liverpool in the Champions League at Anfield last Tuesday and had to be substituted off.

He therefore missed the game against Torino last weekend and Matias Vecino played in his place. It was clear that Inter lacked control without him in the midfield and Simone Inzaghi will have wanted him available for the Fiorentina game.

It looks likely that this time around, the coach will play Hakan Calhanoglu in the centre of the midfield with Arturo Vidal and Nicolo Barella either side.
