Marcelo Brozovic’s physical condition has improved over the course of the week but he is still a risk for the match against Fiorentina on Saturday, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Croatian midfielder has shown that the injury to his right calf is healing during special training sessions this week.

Despite this, he is not necessarily at a point where he can start the match against Fiorentina at San Siro on Saturday evening.

He will take the field in training today and that will give both the player and the Inter coaching staff more of an idea as to how fit he is.

The most likely situation right now is that he will start the match on the bench, which could mean Arturo Vidal will play in the centre with Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolo Barella on either side of him.
