Italian agent Oscar Damiani believes that Inter’s Serie A clash with Fiorentina at the San Sirothis evening should be an evenly-contested affair.

Speaking to Italian news outlet FirenzeViola.it, the Italian agent predicted a tight matchup and named Nerazzurri striker Lautaro Martinez as the player who could potentially make the difference in favour of the home side.

Inter are looking to get back to winning ways starting with three points against La Viola, as they know that there is little margin for error left in their Serie A title pursuit.

The Nerazzurri beat the same opposition 2-1 earlier in the campaign, but the closely-fought nature of that match and the Tuscans’ form over the season will make clear that they cannot take any result for granted this evening.

Damiani expects that the match will be there for the taking for either side, though Martinez could well be the man to settle it in the final third.

“I’m expecting a spectacular match,” he said, “a balanced match that will be decided by the key episodes.”

And on who he believes could be decisive, the agent predicted that “Lautaro seems to have recovered after a period of bad form, while I see the midfield struggling, the Nerazzurri will have to be careful with Italiano’s midfield.”
