Inter wing-back Denzel Dumfries looked to have been the most positive player for his side in a team performance which was sluggish and off the pace to draw 1-1 with Fiorentina yesterday evening.

The Dutchman got the highest score for his performance of any Nerazzurri player across the board in the player ratings for the match in Italian media, as highlighted by L’Interista.

Inter deservedly went a goal down not long after the beginning of the second half, and it was far from obvious that they would be able to find a response.

However, the team didn’t have to wait too long, as Dumfries met an excellent Ivan Perisic delivery with his head to bring the team back on level terms.

This capped off an evening where the 25-year-old looked to have the closest thing to a cutting edge in the final third of any Nerazzurri player.

The Gazzetta dello Sport awarded Dumfries a 6.5/10 score, whilst all of the Corriere dello Sport, TuttoMercatoWeb, and L’Interista went as high as 7/10.
