Denzel Dumfries was the standout performer for Inter in yesterday evening’s 1-1 draw with Fiorentina in Serie A according to Italian media.

The Dutchman received a score of 6.5/10 for his display and goal against La Viola, whilst strike partnership Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez received poor grades of 5/10 for their performances.

Dumfries made it four goals for the Nerazzurri this season with his well-taken header to equalize shortly after Lucas Torreira had put La Viola ahead on the night.

The goal capped off what had looked like the closest thing to an incisive display by a Nerazzurri player in the final third on the night, with the 25-year-old showing his usual energy and some good deliveries and attacking runs.

Dzeko and Martinez, on the other hand, were unable to cause any real problems for the visiting side, and both were taken off midway through the second half.

Meanwhile, the Gazzetta awarded captain Samir Handanovic 6.5/10, the same score as Dumfries, for his crucial double save to preserve a point very late in the match, and handed coach Simone Inzaghi the same mediocre 5/10 score as Dzeko and Martinez.
