Fiorentina midfielder Alfred Duncan believes that his team showed their quality and character to draw with Inter yesterday evening.

Speaking to the press after the match, as reported by FCInterNews, the 29-year-old gave the view that the Nerazzurri are a top side in spite of their mediocre recent form and expressed his happiness at having gotten a result against them.

La Viola scored first against Inter before the Nerazzurri found an equalizer, and in the end the result seemed to have been a fair one.

The away side had looked the sharper of the two teams in the first half at the San Siro, while it was Inter who pushed harder for a winner, though without success.

Duncan feels that the result is to the credit of Fiorentina, with the Tuscans having played well against the Italian champions and one of the strongest teams in the league to earn a point.

“It wasn’t easy because Inter are a strong team,” he said, “they always prove it every week. The team, coming to San Siro and playing such a tough game, deserved something more, but that’s the way it went and we look ahead.”
