Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella did not show what he is capable of with his display against Fiorentina yesterday evening, looking enthusiastic and energetic but lacking precision.

The 25-year-old received mediocre scores across the board for his display in the player ratings for the match in Italian media, as highlighted by FCInterNews, who also noted his culpability in Fiorentina’s goal.

Barella can rarely be faulted for a lack of application, and he attempted to put his stamp on the midfield battle as usual against La Viola.

However, his passing and movement did not really add anything to the team in the final third yesterday as the Nerazzurri could only draw 1-1, whilst he also lost Viola goalscorer Lucas Torreira whenthe Uruguayan opened the scoring.

Barella received a score of 5/10 from the Corriere dello Sport for his performance, while all of L’Interista, TuttoMercatoWeb, and the Gazzetta dello Sport went a little higher with 5.5/10 grades for him.
