Inter no longer look like the team that they did earlier in the season and must implement new ideas to reverse their decline in form over the run-in of the season, according to Italian media.

This from today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who argue that the team cannot go on performing as they have been and expect the results to change course.

Inter looked to be in a commanding position in the Serie A title race just a couple of months ago, but their run of results since then has gradually chipped away at their confidence and their Scudetto credentials.

Now, even with their game in hand to be played against Bologna, the Nerazzurri will not be able to decide their own fate in the Scudetto race as they have fallen behind the likes of AC Milan and Napoli.

Yesterday evening’s 1-1 draw with Fiorentina was one more piece of confirmation for the Gazzetta, who noted that the Nerazzurri played on equal footing with La Viola for much of the match.

If Inter are to go on and win the Scudetto, they cannot do it by simply continuing to work as they have been, but must instead change things up to kick-start their faltering season.
