Inter head coach Simone Inzaghiis frustrated to have seen Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko called up to their national teams during the break.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the coach was hoping to have the pair available to work on the training pitch during the international break.

Martinez and Dzeko both see their national teams participate in relatively inconsequential fixtures, with the Argentine national team playing World Cup qualifiers having already successfully qualified and Bosnia and Herzgovina playing two friendlies.

The Nerazzurri had hoped to convince the strikers’ national teams to allow them to stay behind with their club team given this, with the situation at Inter much more pressing.

The coach had wanted to have both Martinez and Dzeko to prepare for the run-in on the training pitch and also to rest, recharge, and avoid any possible injuries from participation in international fixtures.

Instead, the duo are among the twelve Inter players who will be away on international duty during the break.
