Albert Botines, agent of Inter-bound Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana, has confirmed that the 25-year-old is in good condition despite having been in a car accident earlier today.

Speaking to Dutch news outlet De Telegraaf, the agent explained that he has spoken to Onana over the phone, and that the Cameroonian is fine, and also that the player was not driving during the incident.

Onana was involved in a car accident in Cameroon as he travelled with friends to join up with the national team squad ahead of their World Cup qualifying clashes with Algeria during the break.

The car that Onana was travelling in was reportedly struck by another vehicle, though reports suggest that the goalkeeper was not injured.

With Onana all set to join Inter on a free transfer during the summer transfer window, the club will be relieved to hear that he has not been hurt and is in good condition after the incident.

“I spoke to Andre on the phone,” Botines said, “he wasn’t driving the car but he’d fine. Everything’s ok.”
