Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is hoping that he will have all three of Lautaro Martinez, Stefan de Vrij, and Marcelo Brozovic back in full training on next Monday.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the coach is aiming to have the trio of regular starters back with the full squad at the start of next week.

De Vrij and Brozovic are among the players to have stayed with the team during the international break, with neither called up to their national teams due to the calf injuries which have also ruled them out of the Nerazzurri’s past two matches.

The pair are currently training on their own as they seek to get back to full fitness following their injuries, but they are targeting a return to training along with the rest of the squad on Monday.

Meanwhile, Martinez has been left out of Argentina’s squad for their World Cup qualifiers as he tested positive for COVID, and the 24-year-old is currently undergoing a mandatory period of self-isolation.

The striker should be able to return to training over the weekend and be fit enough to get back to full training with his teammates when they return from a three-day break on Monday.
