Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic will be training on his own this week as he works towards a full return to fitness following the calf problem which has kept him out of the past two matches.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 29-year-old will not be in full training with his teammates this week and is targeting a return training at the start of next week.

Brozovic has stayed behind at Inter rather than linking up with the Croatian national team over the break, as he continues to put the lingering calf problem that he picked up against Liverpool behind him.

The Croat was out of the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clashes with Torino and Fiorentina, both of which finished as 1-1 draws, and he is aiming to be back at his best when the team face Juventus on the other side of the international break.

Right now, the midfielder’s focus is on therapy and training alone.
