Inter’s squad are back in training today as coach Simone Inzaghi aims to get them into the best possible condition to face Juventus on the other side of the international break.

The coach’s preparations are detailed in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that he is focused on getting Stefan de Vrij and Marcelo Brozovic back into their best condition and working on greater tactical versatility.

Inter’s clash with Juventus in Serie A looks as though it could be decisive for their season, with the team having collected just seven points from their last seven matches in the league to fall behind rivals AC Milan and Napoli in the table.

The coach knows that the preparations over the next two weeks will be absolutely decisive for the team’s season, and he has expanded the schedule to get the most out of the period.

Inzaghi will not have eleven squad members at his disposal as they are on international duty, but Brozovic and de Vrij are back and working to put calf injuries fully behind them.

Meanwhile, Lautaro Martinez could be back with the team as early as Saturday once his self-isolation period ends following a positive test for COVID-19, and the coach will relish the opportunity to have as much time as he can with the striker on the training ground.
