Current Tottenham Hotspur and former Inter head coach Antonio Conte was named as the best coach in Serie A during the 2020-21 season at the AIC Gran Gala Del Calcio.

This award recognizes the former Juventus, Italy, and Chelsea boss for his work guiding the Nerazzurri to their first Serie A title in nine years, doing so with a twelve point gap over their nearest rivals.

The coach thanked the organizers of the event for the award and explained what it means to him in a post on his Instagram account.

It reads, “Honoured to have received the AIC award for best coach of the 2020/2021 season.
A special thanks to the players, coaches and referees who voted for me.
This award represents the crowning of an important year full of emotions that brought us to win the italian championship shield with Inter. I want to share this award with the players, the staff and all the people who supported us in reaching this prestigious goal.
