Inter’s Serie A clash with Juventus on the other side of the international break looks set to be a decisive moment in the context of their season.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the match represents the last likely opportunity for coach Simone Inzaghi to get their season back on track.

The Nrerazzurri have not won away to Juventus in Serie A since a 3-1 victory in November of 2012, nearly a decade ago, and in the other fixtures they have drawn twice and lost six times.

This underlines the scale of Inter’s task against the Bianconeri, but they may have no other option, as their slump in form has led to them trailing city rivals AC Milan by six points and Napoli by three at the top of the Serie A table.

There is still plenty of time for the Nerazzurri to make up the ground on their rivals and win the Scudetto, especially given their game in hand against Bologna, but they must start with a result and perhaps even a win against Juventus.
