Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla believes that the contract extension talks between Inter and Ivan Perisic are still up in the air.

Speaking to Gazzetta.it, as reported by FCInter1908, the journalist reported that the situation is still very much in the balance, and that the Nerazzurri have offered him a one-year deal with the option of a further season.

Perisic’s current contract with the Nerazzurri is set to run out at the end of June, though the club are hoping to agree on an extension given his importance to the team and his form this campaign.

It remains to be seen if the Croat will ultimately agree on a renewal with the Nerazzurri, or if he will decide to look for a new club if he is not happy with the terms offered by the club.

The talks have been ongoing for some weeks, but according to Pedulla, they are still some way from a clear resolution.

He described the talks as being in “A delicate moment, still an open question. The club have put forward an offer for a one-year deal with the option of a further season.”

He also updated on the extension of Marcelo Brozovic, stating that “The agreement is closed. They’re just waiting for the right moment to announce the renewal.”
