No more Inter players have tested positive for COVID-19 after the positive tests from the likes of Lautaro Martinez and Matias Vecino over the past couple days.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that coach Simone Inzaghi has been relieved to find no more positive cases uncovered among his squad.

Martinez’s withdrawal from the Argentine national team squad was officially announced on Monday after it emerged that he had tested positive for COVID, whilst the same was true of Vecino yesterday, who withdrew from Uruguay’s squad.

Both players will undergo the mandatory period of self-isolation, and then they will be able to return to training with the rest of Inter’s squad.

Meanwhile, after an extensive round of tests on the rest of the squad to see if any other players are positive for the virus, no other positive cases have been turned up.
