Inter defender Milan Skriniar will not be in talks with the club about a new contract until the end of the season, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FCInter1908, the club are now of the opinion that the remaining games of Inter’s season are too important to be compromised by ongoing contract discussions.

Marcelo Brozovic’s new deal was announced yesterday and next in line is Milan Skriniar. Given it is known that he wants to stay and his current deal does not expire until 2023 the club can wait until June to talk to him.

The situation is different for Samir Handanovic and Ivan Perisic as their contracts are going to expire at the end of the season.

Despite this, the club are more likely to put all of the focus on the remaining games in which Inter will be trying to defend their Serie A title from last season.
