The initial approach from Inter towards Samir Handanovic and Ivan Perisic regarding their contract renewals has not been positive, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, Inter would like to keep both players beyond the end of the current contracts which expire in the coming summer.

The negotiations will not be easy though and it seems the situations will not be resolved very quickly. A renewal for the goalkeeper Samir Handanovic is currently seen as being more likely than a renewal for Ivan Perisic.

The wing back has been in very good form for Inter this season which has convinced Inter that they must not let him leave for free. Any disagreement is likely to be because the Nerazzurri are not prepared to pay whatever wage the Croatian is asking for.

The talks will likely rumble on towards the end of the season.
