It is becoming increasingly likely that Inter’s rearranged match with Bologna will be played on Wednesday April 27, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Calcio e Finanza, the date for hearing Inter’s appeal over the match that was called off in January has been set.

The CONI Guarentee board will meet on April 13 to discuss Inter’s appeal which means the first realistic date after that meeting is Wednesday April 27, a midweek slot that is not being used for any other competition.

The initial game was called off because of Covid-19 cases amongst the Bologna squad. Inter still travelled down and took the field but Bologna were banned from playing by their local health authority.

The rules regarding this way of having a gam postponed have since been amended to avoid the issue of local health authorities having the final say on the matter.
