Inter defender Milan Skriniar has said that he hopes Erling Braut Haaland will be starting for Norway against Slovakia today, according to a report in the Slovakian broadcast media.

Speaking ahead of the international friendly, via FCInternews, the defender explained that he wants the Borussia Dortmund to play in the match because every player wants to compare themselves against the best.

“I’ll be happy if he plays, we always want to compare ourselves with the best, it’s something that can make us grow. He is one of the best strikers in the world, I can’t wait.”

Milan Skriniar is also confident about how his national side have been preparing for the game and says the opponent have been analysed very well by the coaches.

“The team works well, the game has always been fantastic. Now it’s the same, on and off the pitch. Nothing has changed, even if they aren’t there, the more experienced players. We analysed the opponent, the coaches showed us how they play.”

Milan Skriniar is likely to be the next player at Inter to sign a new contract as his current deal runs out in June 2023.

The serious discussions are probably not going to take place until the end of the season because Inter are involved in a fierce title race in Serie A and need to have all focus on the matches.
