Inter striker Lautaro Martinez will carry out a Covid-19 test tomorrow in the hopes of being able to train with Inter ahead of the match against Juventus, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported today by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lautaro Martinez wants to be back in training with Inter as soon as possible after recently testing positive for Covid-19.

That positive test meant he could not travel to South America to take part in Argentina’s final two World Cup qualification matches.

He is training in his home at the moment as he is not allowed to join up with the Inter players who are not away on international duty.

Given the next match is a huge one against Juventus on April 3, every bit of preparation is vital. That is why he will take another test tomorrow in the hopes of being negative so he can join Simone Inzaghi’s training sessions straight away.
