Inter boss Simone Inzaghi will be closely monitoring the recovery of Lautaro Martinez after he tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, the Argentine striker tested positive for the virus on Sunday which is why he has not travelled to South America to take part in Argentina’s final two World Cup qualification games.
Despite this concerning news ahead of Inter’s huge match against Juventus on April 3, the player does not feel ill at all and has been training by himself at home, as shown by his Instagram stories.
He will take another test on Monday and everyone at the club is hoping that it comes back negative so that he can join in with training ahead of the match against the Bianconere on Sunday evening next week.
Inter must win to remain in the title fight.
