Slovakian coach Stefan Tarkovic has announced that Milan Skriniar will be their captain for the next two international friendlies, according to a report in the Slovakian media.

Speaking during his press conference ahead of the matches against Norway and Finland, via FCInternews, Stefan Tarkovic confirmed that the Inter defender would be the captain for both of those games.

Two of the more senior members of the Slovakian national team, former Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik and Juraj Kucka, are not with the squad this time which means the next in line to be captain is Milan Skriniar.

He is at the top of his game right now and will certainly relish the chance to lead his country out in two international friendlies.

It is expected that he will be the Slovakian captain for many years to come once others in the squad have retired from international football, which will not be very long.
