The informal meeting that took place at Inter headquarters yesterday was a chance for Simone Inzaghi and Steven Zhang to talk before the important title fight, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, Simone Inzaghi made his way to Viale della Liberazione yesterday to undergo some marketing duties having just finished training at Appiano Gentile.

Whilst there, he was able to grab a coffee and have a chat with Inter president Steven Zhang, as well as sporting CEO Beppe Marotta and commercial CEO Alessandro Antonello.

It was not an arranged meeting and there was reportedly no discussions around transfer targets and strategy.

It was just a chance to touch base and chat about the final stretch of the Serie A campaign in which Inter must try and defend the title they won last year, as well as try and win the Coppa Italia.
