Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and defender Stefan de Vrij will continue on with their individual training and recovery program during the weekend.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the pair will remain at the training facilities and work towards their returns to fitness whilst their teammates are given the weekend off.

Coach Simone Inzaghi has given his players three days off to rest before returning to training next week, but for Brozovic and de Vrij, they will continue on with their regime of physiotherapy and personalized training.

Both are continuing to recover from the calf injuries which had caused them to miss out on the team’s last two matches before the break, Serie A clashes with Torino and Fiorentina.

For Brozovic, the target is a return to full training on Tuesday or Wednesday, whilst the club are also hopeful that de Vrij can be back with the rest of the squad in time to prepare to the Serie A clash with Juventus at the start of April.
