Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and defender Stefan de Vrij are expected to be back in full training with their teammates by Thursday.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the pair should be back in training this week and that the club’s medical staff are very optimistic that they will be ready to play against Juventus on the other side of the international break.

Brozovic and de Vrij continue to work in the gym to put their calf injuries behind them with the aim of getting back to action in time for the team’s Serie A clash with the Bianconeri.

Brozovic looks set to return to training slightly sooner than de Vrij, but both appear likely to be ready to play against Juventus next weekend.

Meanwhile, updates are expected soon on when Lautaro Martinez and Matias Vecino can return to training after testing positive with COVID earlier in the week,

The players in the Nerazzurri’s squad who are currently away on international duty will begin returning to training on Wednesday and Thursday, and coach Simone Inzaghi should have a full squad available to him in preparing for Sunday’s match.
