Inter are targeting Roma midfielder Jordan Veretout as an alternative midfield target should they miss out on the signing of Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Giallorossi would ask for €15-20 million for the Frenchman’s signature.

Frattesi remains the main target for Inter in midfield, with the 22-year-old’s profile and room to grow considered ideal, but Juventus have emerged as serious rivals for his signature and are reportedly stepping up their interest with the Neroverdi as well as with the player’s entourage.

With the possibility of missing out on Frattesi to the Bianconeri not to be ruled out, Inter are considering other options, and Veretout looks to be one of the major ones.

Ligue 1 side Marseille have already had an €8 million offer rejected by the Giallorossi, and so the Nerazzurri would likely have to meet the capital club’s valuation should they move for him.
