Borussia Monchengladbach defender Mathias Ginter has not yet committed his future to any one club amid links to Inter in the summer transfer window.

Speaking to German broadcaster RND, the 28-year-old stressed that despite reports that he is close to a move to Bayern Munich on a free transfer this summer, he has still not made his choice.

Ginter has publicly confirmed that he will not renew his current deal with Gladbach and so he will move clubs on a free transfer.

The Nerazzurri have had strong links to the German especially considering the fact that CEO Beppe Marotta has an inclination towards signing top-quality players who are available at the end of their contract.

The links to the Nerazzurri have died down as he has been reportedly closer to joining Bayern, but as he stressed, this is not yet confirmed and he could also still decide to join a club outside of Germany.

“There are several options abroad too and I’m curious to see what it will and up being,” he said when asked whether he’d join the German champions.

“I honestly don’t know where the rumours come from that a transfer to Bayern has already been completed,” he added. “I haven’t yet made a decision about my future. And it will probably take a few more weeks.”
