Inter have identified Anderlecht winger Sergio Gomez as a potential replacement for Ivan Perisic should the wing-back not extend his contract at the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri will go as high as €5 million net per season with their wage offer to the Croat but are prepared to move on from him.

The fate of Perisic’s contract at the Nerazzurri remains up in the air, with the club having already also brought in Robin Gosens to reinforce their left side in January.

Should the 33-year-old not decide to accept an offer from the club, however, they are preparing to further build their new-look left side with Gomez a player who they are increasingly interested in him.

The 21-year-old has managed five goals and fourteen assists in 32 Belgian league matches this season, and he has jumped to the top of Inter’s list of candidates to replace Perisic should the latter depart.
