It is thought to be a matter of days rather than months until Inter begin talks with Milan Skriniar over his new contract, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Slovakian is viewed by everyone at the club as one of the key parts of the team and someone that should be tied down to a new deal.

His current deal will run out in 2023 and the club knows that he is deserving of a pay rise. It was the idea of Beppe Marotta and others to not discuss any more contract renewals until the season is over so that everyone can concentrate entirely on the title race that is reaching its climax.

That no longer seems to be the case in regard to Milan Skriniar because he made it clear in the press recently that he wants to sign a new contract.
